The Manchester Invertebrate and Spider Club
(M.I.S.C)
The Manchester Invertebrate and Spider Club (MISC) was formed July 2009.
The aim of the club is to promote captive breeding and offer support and guidance to people of all levels of experience with regards to the husbandry of spider, scorpions and other invertebrates.
All people are welcome to our informal monthly meetings and to join the forum.
IN THE BEGINNING
The Manchester Invertebrate and Spider Club started off as just an idea in July 2009 by a small group of like minded people. As more and more ideas were being brought together by a small group of people. A forum was created and the First meeting was arranged for the 29th of August.
The first meet was a success as about 20 people turned up, which was more than we expected. It was a complete success with a talk from the committee of one of the longest running and successful invertebrate clubs in the country INVICTA arachnid club.
A committee was elected and the club was born.

• To promote the captive breeding of invertebrates and give help and guidance when required.
• To promote responsible sourcing of invertebrates.
• To help inspire, involve and promote the next generation of hobbyists.
